According to the statement published by the Syrian Embassy in Stockholm, an unknown number of Syrian citizens died as a result of the disaster in southern Sweden. According to preliminary data, the deceased were on board the train that collided with a freight car.
The Syrian Arab Republic's embassy expressed deep condolences to the relatives and close ones of the deceased. It also stated that all necessary support and assistance will be provided in arranging all formalities related to this case.
"This disaster has caused great tragedy and sorrow in the hearts of all, and our prayers and thoughts are now with the deceased," the embassy's statement says.
