King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, accompanied by his wife, Queen Silvia, and the Swedish Prime Minister, Ulf Kristersson, visited the school in Örebro where the shooting occurred and paid tribute to the eleven victims, including the perpetrator, with a floral offering.

Swedish authorities confirmed that the suspected shooter was carrying three licensed firearms when found by police. He had been authorized to possess a total of four guns. According to Anna Bergqvist, in charge of the investigation, the suspect was identified as Rickard Andersson, a 35-year-old Swede with psychiatric issues and antisocial behavior.

The police have not officially confirmed the identity of the shooter and are still investigating the motives behind the tragic event. However, according to local media, Andersson may have been a student at the school where the shooting took place. The police operation was deployed within minutes after receiving the alert, and the scene was described as chaotic and frightening.

The police chief of Örebro province, Lars Wirén, mentioned that after an hour of intense searching, the alleged perpetrator was found dead by authorities. It is believed that the shooter took his own life. The Risbergska campus, where the events occurred, will remain closed for the rest of the week, while psychological support resources have been made available for those in need in the region.
