Tragedy in Örebro: 11 Lives Lost in Shooting

The Swedish police called the shooting at the Risbergska adult college in Örebro a hellish event where 11 people died. The alleged perpetrator of the massacre, found dead, carried three licensed weapons. The incident, considered the worst massacre in recent Swedish history, remains the subject of a careful investigation by the authorities.

According to Lars Wirén, police chief of the Örebro province, the arrival of officers at the shooting site was minutes after the alarm, describing the scene as hell. So far, the police have not provided the identity of the perpetrator, but it is known that he had no affiliations with violent or terrorist groups.

Anna Bergqvist, in charge of the investigation, mentioned that the alleged perpetrator, unofficially identified as Rickard Andersson, was a 35-year-old white Swede with mental health issues. Despite the information circulating in the media, the police are withholding official confirmation regarding the shooter's identity.

The attacker is believed to have changed in a school bathroom before opening fire, although this version has not yet been verified by the authorities. He is believed to have acted alone and to have committed suicide during the police operation, which involved about 130 officers.

At this time, the identities of the victims have not been revealed, although it was reported that there are citizens of different nationalities among them. The embassies of Syria and Bosnia have confirmed the presence of citizens from their countries among the deceased and injured.

Meanwhile, Nima Poushin, in charge of adult education in Örebro, highlighted the unexpected nature of the attack and the current focus on providing psychological support to the staff and students of the Risbergska Campus, an institution with around 2,500 adult students.

The investigation continues, and Swedish authorities are still working to clarify the motives behind the worst shooting in Sweden to date.
